This policy explains what personal data MMRV Luxury Rentals collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

1. Who we are

ΜΘΜΜ Ο.Ε. is a car rental business based in Athens, Greece, trading as MMRV Luxury Rentals. We are the “data controller” for the personal data described in this policy — meaning we decide why and how it is used.

2. What we collect

We collect very little. Specifically:

2.1 Information you give us

If you fill in the contact form, the booking enquiry form, or the newsletter signup on this site, we receive what you type into it — typically your name, email address, phone number, and any message or rental details you choose to include.

You can always contact us by phone, WhatsApp, Viber or email instead, in which case we only hold whatever you send us directly.

2.2 Information collected automatically

This is a static website. We do not run analytics, advertising trackers, or profiling tools, and we do not set cookies for those purposes.

However, two things happen automatically whenever any website is loaded, and we want to be upfront about them:

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information — your IP address, browser type, and which pages were requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure, not to identify you.
Google Fonts. The typefaces used on this site are loaded from Google’s font servers. This means your browser makes a request to Google, and your IP address is transmitted to Google as part of that request. This happens on page load, before you interact with anything. See section 4.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Google Fonts — please read this one

This site loads its fonts (Cormorant Garamond and Inter) from Google’s servers rather than from our own. As a result, your IP address is sent to Google, which is a company based in the United States, each time you load a page here.

We are disclosing this plainly because it is the one piece of data sharing that happens without you doing anything. If you would rather this did not happen, you can block third-party font loading in your browser or use an extension that does so — the site will still work, it will simply fall back to a system typeface.

Google’s handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Who we share it with

We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. Rather than naming each company, we describe them here by the role they play and where they operate, since that is what matters for how your data is handled:

Our hosting provider — serves this website and processes the server logs described above. Based in the United States; transfers are governed by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Our email provider — if you email us, or a form submission reaches us by email, it is stored in our business mailbox. Based in the United States; transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Other business email and file-storage services — we also use general-purpose productivity services for some correspondence and file storage. Based in the United States, under the same type of safeguards. Our font provider is covered separately in section 4.

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to — for example, to law enforcement or in response to a valid court order.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become rentals: we do not keep this data. If an enquiry does not lead to a rental, it is not retained.
Enquiries that become rentals: retained as long as required for accounting and tax purposes under Greek law.
Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time by sending us an email.
Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider, typically a short rolling window.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

Ask what data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
Have inaccurate data corrected
Have your data deleted
Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
Withdraw consent at any time (for the newsletter, this does not affect anything sent beforehand)
Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format

To exercise any of these, just email info@mmrvrentals.gr. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Greek Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα) at www.dpa.gr.

8. Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own, and does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries reach us by email and are stored in our business mailboxes, which are protected by strong passwords and multi-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold small deliberately — it is the simplest protection there is.

10. Rental terms

This policy covers the website only. The terms and conditions of the rental itself — deposit, insurance, driver requirements, damage liability, cancellation — are provided to you in writing before the vehicle is handed over, and are not concluded online.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date at the top.
